"Kedra Eurion." (Stills Ross's last name) Kedra replied, slumping down against the wall. Yay! Introductions! Let's all go jump off a cliff! He rolled his eyes.

Kitsune hesitated, fighting a blush as he said "Kitsune...Youkai." He hated his name, and wondered if the others would make fun of it.

"Fox Demon?" Akira translated with a smirk. "Now that I think about it, you do look like Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho. Wicked, I love that show."
Yugi chuckled. "Alright, introductions aside, on to the story. First, as you may or may not know, Ryou and I made legends of ourselves in dueling when we were about as old as you three are now."

Kedra raised an eyebrow, slightly more interested in Akira now. "Seriously? Awesome. It's one of my favorites." He said before glancing back at Yugi. "Yeah... What's that got to do with us and the Nutty Professor over there?" He jerked his head in the direction of Ryou.

Yugi gave Kedra a stern look. "Please don't talk about him like that. You don't know what he went through." He sighed. "I doubt any of you will believe a word of what I'm going to tell you. Let me just say that if you don't, consider it a story or a fairy tale."
"Get on with it," Akira grumbled. Yugi nodded.
"Well, to tell you the truth, there was more to that series of tournaments than met the eye," he said. "And there was more to us. Have any of you ever noticed the gold items in pictures of us from those days? I had a puzzle shaped like a pyramid, Ryou had a pendant, Marik had a rod."

Kitsune nodded, keeping quiet about the Kurama comment. "Yeah...The ones in the museum, right?" he asked.

Yugi nodded. "Yes, those items. They're Egyptian, as I'm sure Kitsune knows. H'e's heard parts of this story before."
Akira shrugged. "What, are they magical or something?" He narrowed his eyes when Yugi just smiled.

Kitsune knew more than the professor thought he did about the Items. Soon after he'd learned about their powers, he'd become interested in them, and often dreamed about what he could do with even one. He'd researched them individually and altogether, and found interesting facts about each...
He didn't say anything to Akira, but couldn't help a little smirk of his own when he glanced at Professor Yugi. They'll know soon enough, he thought to himself.

((Hm, clothes for Kit--School blazer, if they have one, decently clean blue jeans, and a plain brown T-shirt beneath the jacket, all hiding how thin he is. ))

Kedra snorted, "Yeah. I've heard of those. I like the Rod." He said.

"Yes, well then. As Akira said, some believe these items have mystical powers," Yugi continued. "And others believe that they were once haunted by two spirits who were eternally at war with one another."
Akira rolled his eyes at that. He didn't believe in ghosts, thank you very much.

Kitsune reached for the smallest of his bags, a blue drawstring backpack, listening more intently than he seemed to be. He had wanted to hear these firsthand accounts for ages, yet he'd never mustered up the nerve to actually ask the professors outright.

"Which two?" Kedra asked. He didn't believe in ghosts either, but he was interested in what Yugi was saying. It was different then the every day happenings.

"The puzzle and the ring," Yugi explained, a light smile on his face. "And would you believe me if I told you those tales are true?"
Akira shook his head. "I'd think you were crazy," he responded.

Kedra nodded, "Not unless you have a way to prove it, no."
