I had heard she would stop after 7, that would be cool to have 8.

She was going to do a book for each year Harry was at Hogwarts, but since she's having him leave, she is changing it.

I'm not sure where you heard she was changing her mind, I saw a special with her once and she already has the final chapter of the seventh book written. She has had for years, despite not having the rest of the book written. All good writers know where a book will end before they ever write it. And a good series writer knows exactly where each series will end before the first book is written. So I highly doubt she's changing it now, though it is conceiveable.
Oh and DR you spoiled! On the off chance someone has not read a book you can't just blurt out spoilers like that. It's rude to do it even if you are 90% sure everyone has read it. What if a newbie came in and hadn't read the book and read that post? I had that happen to me in a group once, I was new and going over older posts that interested me and Bam a book was ruined for me. So everyone/anyone please tag that kind of stuff with SPOILER headings.

No biggie DR, just a thing to watch for later. It's a major personal peeve I guess cause once someone has toldme the ending of a book or movie and ruined it I can't force myself to read/watch it. Pity huh... And I know I'mmissing so much more than was ruined but... it's ruined ya know?
And and as for Snape... good or bad, traitor or double agent he didn't have a choice about Dumbledore due to that oath he took. And I think Dumbledore knew about the oath and had a pretty darn good idea what Malfoy had been told to do, though he didn't tell Snape that. So I kinda feel sorry for Snape, even if he does turn out to be a truely bad guy.

"Severous, please" his exact words! Do you think Dumbledore would beg for his life? NO! He was pleading with Snape to do it, so that he could save Malfoy! Because Dumbledore cares for all his students. That's my argument as well.

Wouldn't suprise me if Voldemort...being the twisted freak he was...raised Dumbledore as an Inferi...that would create a bundle of laughs.
