"Please." Siren said and waited till Ari had done just that. "Perhaps it is just my training but I doubt even the more dense girls will take more than a few days to notice that the large 'woman' has an Adam's Apple." Siren said once they were again assured of at least a bit of privacy. "You and I are not of the same rough cut as some here, and the Captain is entirely too naive to be a true pirate. I was hoping you might be able to shed a bit of light on that situation, you seem the most freindly with her." After all it was clear form both thier patterns of speech that they were educated, or at least not uneducated women, perhaps between then they could keep the Captain from doing something that would get her killed, possibly at her own crews hands.

Dennis had been walking about this ruddy ship for the past hour. Why was it taking everyone so long to set sail? Yet another reason it was a poor idea to have women on board this ship. Theyre all probably out bringing their 67th cases of clothing into the ship! He went over to the wall and lightly slammed his head against the wall. Why did this have to happen to him? Why did the ship he ran into have to be a pirate ship? With only women for that matter! Hardly a place for the Duke's son to reside in. Certainly not. He needed SOMETHING to do. But there was nothing he could help with. He was given the job of rifleman by that one girl. And, by the way... who was she? She seemed to have dissappeared right after he had tried to leave. Ah well, it did not matter in the slightest. He would be off of the ship in a matter of hours.
But, no matter how many times he repeated that thought in his mind, the possibility seemed to get more and more absurd.

"Yes, the captain is a hazard. She is just a rich person who bought a boat, so now she thinks she can sail it. Anyway, I think we can probably keep her alive. I have some skill at navigation, so that will eliminate one problem," Ari said. She was slightly confused by the comment about not being "of the same rough cut". She had been on pirate ships all her life; though, it was true that she spoke very well and had fairly decent manners. It had been a major part of survival on her father's ship. He had always said it was better for her to look like a captive noble than the captain's daughter.
At her cabin door the captain watched the cabin girl speak. She was barely paying attention. At one point she noticed the cook's mate who was still standing inside the room. " I'm sorry to keep you waiting, Keila. You may go if you wish," she said, stepping out of the door way.

Keila blinked, then nodded, quickly scooting out of the captain's quarters. Once out and around the corner she heaved a sigh of relief. She had thought she was in for it for sure, but the captain didn't really seem to mind at all. That off her mind, she made her way to toward the galley kitchen with an accomplished grin on her face, hoping Ari hadn't missed her.

((OOC: Most men's are noticable xwx, and you're still growing, at 20 Dennis' would logically be more noticable, unless he's way overweight and has jowls blocking view of his throat. And besides Siren is a trained medic, she notices things like that. Also I didn't say it was huge, I said it was there, and that you can't avoid. Oh and Siren tends to think of herself as a bit 'above' the average pirate, male or female, because she isn't as 'rough' as they are. And she tends to lump others with more cultured speech and manners in the same vein. Not that she is vain or 'holier than thou', just aloof.))
Siren nodded. "That will certainly be beneficial, I worry about her safety in battle more. I can only hope that she knows more than she seems to. Thank you for taking the time to talk with me." She said and with a smile of dismissal she turned to dig into her supplies.

"Oh it's not any trouble. Thank you for the salve," Ari said, opening the door and stepping into the hall. She wandered casually toward the galley. She still had to set up the area, a task which she was dreading. She hated keeping things in order but she would if she had to.

Dennis, having no where to go, sat against a wall. There were alot of strange thoughts bobbing along in his mind, and, seeing as there wasnt much to do anyway, he decided that he would just think about what had just happened.
Lets see... He came into this ship, not knowing that it was a pirate ship (packed with women no less!). He went in, then realized his mistake, ran into one of the rooms inside of the ship, and found and wore a set of clothing he had found. He wondered who's clothing it was, but it didnt matter very much. Hmm... so then he left, and about 26 pirate women just happened to cross his path. Boy was he nervous, but they were women, witless and weak, and he knew if he had been there again, he'd've done just as well. That crazy pirate that was supposedly first mate terrified him, she spoke so differently from most of the others... But, he supposed she was the only person there with a real pirate accent. That would probably be one reason she was such a provokeable pirate. All of the others seemed more intelligeable(for women, of course), so she would definately feel a bit un secure. She was also kindve a weasel... she seemed to run around following people, which unnerved Dennis.
And also, there was that captain....
She did not seem the type to be a sailor, let alone the captain of a pirate ship! He had to wonder why she was sailing across the seas when it was obvious she wasnt fit for a job such as that. But, he supposed that you couldnt judge someone because of their appearance.((hypocritical, no?)) She may have just appeared that way to fool other ships, who knows? Anyway, Dennis didn't really need to get too involved with this ship. He'd get out of here soon anyway.((wishful thinking))
Well, then the Captain woman asked him what job he had been given... and that stranger came in and fooled the captain... odd, he hadn't seen her at all since that time, she probably knew him for male! How obvious was he?... oh well, didnt matter. He then decided to leave the ship... and that jabbering girl stopped him and started speaking with him, she had known about him immediately! They were then interrupted by that crazy pirate with the strange accent... she called him a scallywag or something... and the girl left him... with the crazy woman... He then left, thinking of any possible way he could get out, thought up an idea easily, and stood there a while, thinking of how he would pull it off.((i have no idea what the plan is, i guess ill wing it)) He then went back downstairs, for God knows why, and came yet again, face to face with the yapping lunatic who knew who he was. She spoke with him... with yet another female pirate beside her, though she didn't look much like a pirate,in Dennis's opinion, but why else would she be on this ship? Well, she ran behind a door, leaving Dennis here. But no matter how many times he thought about it... He just couldn't let it sink in. All of that happened in the last hour? He shook tyhe thought away, there were more pressing matters. He would think about it for a little while when he got back to his quiet Manor.
The ship was likely to be leaving by nightfall, and he would need to get out before it left. Or he would be diving in the water, which he thought of as absurd. The water would certainly be cold as death, and the pirates would probably be firing at him with all of their might.
He would have to set into action soon.

(( You can assume that she probably knows everyone, but none of the crew know each other that well.))
Ari was dragged her feet down the hallway, desperately trying to put off setting up the kitchen. As she walked she scanned the hallway for potential distractions. There was nothing of much interest. Down the hallway the transvestite was sitting against the wall. Ari ignored him. She didn't see the point in talking to that twit. As long as he wasn't getting himself killed he go about his business. She decided to go up top. If nothing else at least up there she could annoy Ix. Dodging knifes was generally entertaining.

" 'Ow boring..." Mumbled a pirate perched at the top of the ship's crow's nest. She sighed and fiddled around with the few earrings in her right ear. Things were slow, that day. Calico hated it when it was slow. Nothing much to look out for, aside for the ocean. She hadn't bothered to go back down to the deck in at least 4 hours, since down there, it was even more boring. She frowned and looked down at the deck. Nothing much, as usual. She shook her head sadly and then looked back out to sea.

Ari arrived on deck to discover the area mostly deserted. So she turned around and headed back down to the galley. It was a small room with an iron oven and stove in one corner and a long counter and several cabinets down the side.
Ari surveyed the room carefully then went over to the two large boxes of supplies that had been brought to the room earlier. She pulled out several pots and pans and began hanging them hap hazardly in cabinets or on hooks in the ceiling.
While the cabin girl talked Clarissa began to get an idea. She had planned on leaving the next day, but all the members of her crew were there now. They could leave today and get some sailing in before dark. The idea excited her. " I'll talk to you in just a bit dear," she said, interrupting Elizabeth rather rudely.
The captain walked into the center of the deck and began to yell, " All hands on deck, we're leaving immediately."
Ari who was putting away an assortment of canned vegetables when she heard the captain, slapped her palm to her forehead and sighed. The captain really was a moron.

Calico frowned even more upon hearing the Captain's words. "Aye aye, Captain!" She yelled back down to deck. With a light shrug, Calico swung herself over her seat in the crow's nest and climbed down to deck. Even if she didn't have to, since it wasn't her job to do deck work, she was bored. For Calico, boredom overruled rationality.

"Leaving?" Siren said aloud as she looked up towards the deck area. "But there isn't even a tide at this time of day..." She mused. "We're not a rowing galley." Sighing she stoppered the ink and put away that and her pen she had been making notes with and headed for the deck.

Dennis did not hear the captain's command. He had let himself drift to sleep while he was thinking. And, though when he slept in the daytime he wasnt down for long, when he would awaken, and find that he was no longer nearland, He would finally realize that he would have no where to go.
But, for now, all he could do was sleep.
