Discontent. She felt that for only a moment, but didn't turn to look at her Darkness Chosen. If he was embarassed, then she didn't want to push it any further. It was better to just talk to the Wanted, get back to her Tower, and draw for a bit.
She nodded slowly, thinking about her answer. Aria didn't want to say too much so soon, but she couldn't just leave the girl hanging either.
"I know exactly what is happening to me, and why it is happening to me. I will not "fix" it, try to find a solution, or have the Shadow Chosen taken away from me because of a theory. He has so little to do with the situation at hand..."
She glanced back to Kratos, just to make sure he was still there. A small frown on her face, due to worry over him. He seemed to be in such an odd state at the moment, Aria wasn't sure what to do.

"...So what are you going to do?" Savyna asked. "Just...let yourself be taken by the darkness? What about us? We will lapse into chaos and die without our creator! You can't just give up, Aria!"
Kratos looked up at Aria without moving his head as she looked at him, then looked away again, still not moving his head.

"I believe I created ten Council members to oversee things when I'm not around, and I also have seven others that may keep the ten in place. When my body is taken into the darkness, my heart will remain forever. With those I apointent in charge, the Village will never die." She tried to explain softly.
"My sacrifice began with my heart, and ends with my turning point." Her statement was not full of any sort of sorrow, although her mind was churning and her stomach flipped over. Was it selfish to feel scared? Aria hoped not, for she didn't want to be greedy.
Her life was more than complete, and she was content to some extent. Of course, there was that sort of lingering want to be untainted. Something that seemed so impossible due to the condition she was in at this moment.

Kratos' entire body went cold.
"...What? But Princess...You can't leave us! There has to be a way to stop it, what if Celeste and I worked together to find a way to preserve you?! Princess, we would be lost without you..."
Savyna was frightened by Aria's words as well. "...He speaks truth, Princess...you cannot leave. There has to be a way to stop it, to save you...A group of hand-picked people cannot bring life to this land! You sustain us, you give us life! No one else can, Princess..." It was the people's common belief that Aria, with her life-giving and creation powers, was the one who made crops grow and trees give fruit and kept the land fertile and green.
Even Xander looked apprehensive now.

How could she make a promise she couldn't keep? It was unknown when she would be taken away, but she felt that time was drawing closer. She didn't want to upset those her cared for her so much, and Aria refused to fill thier heads up with lies. They were adults with fully functioning brains, and shouldn't be treated like children.
"..." The Princess closed her mouth, and continued to think. There was the idea Kratos had, which involved a term of preservation. Not only that option, but there was also the option of destroying everything she had to start anew. In a more selfish situation, she could take her heart back...
Those ideas were dishonorable, and impssible for the teenage girl to do. To put it simply, there would be no way that Aria would ever betray her people. She also pushed those thoughts away, not bothering to say them infront of everyone. They would sacrifice themselves for her, and she just didn't want that.
"Maybe you and Celeste could work together, Kratos. I'm not sure what you could come up with, but there may possibly be another solution." The Princess hadn't realised that her smile faltered. Usually, emotions were so simple to mask with a smile, but she noticed that she had a haggard look to her. Not only that, but her eyes were half-lidded, and she lost some of her posture.
Almost immeadiately, Aria snaped back into a smiling, happy, upright position. Her gaze searched around the room, then back to Kratos. Her smile widened considerably, as he was probably most suspicious of her actions.

That he was. Well, perhaps not so much suspicious as very, very worried. Kratos resisted the childish urge to chew his lower lip as he watched the princess' mercurial mood changes with concern written all over his face.
"...I will do everything in my power to help you, my princess," he vowed, resting a hand on her shoulder and squeezing it reassuringly. He turned to look at Savyna and Xander, his expression hardening.
"I will help her. I am a creation of hers just as you are, and I need her just as you do. Perhaps more. Understand that, and leave me alone," he said.
Savyna narrowed her eyes, but didn't say anything.
I don't believe you, she thought silently. You will not find a way to save her, you will find a way to pull her deeper into the darkness, to blend her with it, to join you, you bastard...Why can't any of you see this?
She scowled, and turned away.

A sudden sting to her eyes told Aria tears were about to fall. She tried to push them back, but they began to slither down her cheeks. She presses the back of her hands to her eyes, wiping them away as they fell.
Her smile never faded, since she was crying happily, or maybe she was crying out of sorrow. It hurt to have this particular mix of emotions, but she accepted it warmly. Her cheeks began to turn red, which often happened when she cried.
"T-Thank you, Kra-atos..." It was the only words she could struggle out, unless they wanted to hear a length of jibberish. She glanced at the Wanted momentarily, before she turned to her friends.
They were such loyal friends. The fact that she was hopeless made her angry. Such friends didn't deserve to have such a doubtful leader to love. The Chosen needed someone to rely on, and someone who wouldn't bring them such unhappiness.
The tears continued to stream. Her feelings were a mess swirling throughout her body. For the first time, reality swept across the Princess, Aria. She knew her world, along with herself, was crumbling at a very dangerous rate.
{{By the way, Aria's "world" that is crumbling, isn't the Village of a Thousand Dreams. It's like her emotions, mind, body, etc. are out of balance.}}

"..." Kratos was at a loss here. His princess was crying...Had they been alone in the Tower, and he properly clothed, he would have immediately attempted to comfort her. But as it were, he was shirtless and in the presence of enemies and fellow Chosen.
He looked to Valiente, and to Orstead, a silent plea of assistance in his gaze. They would comfort her, or should, at least...For him to do it would be far too awkward...
Savyna and Xander exchanged a glance, their eyes narrowing. Was their leader truly this self-doubting, this...scared little child? Was that who the mysterious and fabled "Dark Princess" really was?

Valiente sighed quietly, "We should go." He said softly, glancing at Kratos, "Besides, you need those wounds treated."

...What? Forget about me, what about the princess?! Kratos gave Valiente a look that almost said what he was thinking. The princess was in emotional duress, and Valiente was caring more about some severe paper cuts? The worst that might happen was infection, and no illness was more important than Aria's safety and happiness!
He looked back at the Princess, still unsure of what to do...

And Valiente understood the look, scowling angrily in the man's direction. Kratos was his exscuse to get them moving, and out of the house. The Wanted shouldn't see Aria cry, nor should she have to in front of them.

The Princess shook her head, nodding to Valiente silently. Was this her mortal side controlling her, or was it the mass amount of emotions she could feel in this room? It appeared to be the two combined. Her sorrow and anger were from stress, and the strong feelings around her.
A word rung through her head many time over. It was the darkness creeping it's way across her mind, and Aria hoped that she wouldn't lose control at this moment. Thankfully, the darkness just seemed to be sending the haunting message.
'Pathetic. Pathetic mortal girl. A disgrace. Weakling.'
Her tears stopped streaming. She began to walk away, gesturing for her Chosen to follow. Her eyes, hidden behind her fallen bangs, had turned a black-ish color. Her wrath was hidden away from the others, but she wasn't sure if they could detect it in the first place.
The Dark Princess has stopped in her tracks, turned her head slightly, and sharply added a few words. "Missus Savyna and Mister Xander, I don't wish to ever hear that you attempted to hurt Kratos. I would regret having to eliminate one or two of my creations. Is that clear?" She tried not to make eye contact, the fact her bangs were draped across her eyes helped, but she knew that they most likely caught a glimpse of her onyx-colored eyes.
Her head swiveled back forward, and she walked outdoors. The sun was almost gone, and night was approaching. The cool air felt amazing against her warm flesh. Aria only hoped her friends were going to follow her out, for she didn't want to see the Wanted a second time.
'I am more than a human, and less than a goddess. What does that make me, exactly?'
