“Well as a child I always wanted to visit the place where the buildings touched the sky, but I slowly lost interest as I grew older.” Ayame explained as they continued walking. “I am a still a bit curious though but not as much as before, could you explain how it’s like?” she asked, looking at Pyrick with a cute curious face. Signs of her village could be seen in the distance now as it seemed talking made the time pass by a lot. They should arrive at the village very soon and it looked like they were going to make it by sundown as well.

Pyrick blinked a few times, then gave her a knowing smirk. "The beauty isn't on the ground, Chickie. It's not in the buildings, it's in the lights. When you're in the city, find the tallest building you can, get on the roof, and right as dark falls," he described, waving his hands past his face as if willing darkness to fall, "lights surround you. It's like a see of angels, glittering down below you. Then you look a little harder and you can see the colors on some of the neon lights... And it's so busy at night... It's like the city itself is alive." His eyes had acquired a dreamy gleam as he invisioned his beautiful city. Sombering a bit, he looked over at Ayame. "But that's when the street rats come out, too. Drug dealers, yeah they come out during the day, too, but more come out at night. Then there are gangs.... and you have to learn how to defend yourself.... 'cause if you can't....," he trailed off, looking at the ground. "Is that your village?" he asked suddenly, changing the subject. People get hurt......People you care about.

Ayame nodded a few times as her face showed complete amazement by Pyrick's explaination to her about how his city was like at night, but as his facial expression starter to get darker when he explained to her about Gangs, Drug dealers, and the dark side to city life. She started to get even more curious, because she didn’t know what gangs or drug dealers were do to her living the small village life. “Wait, can you explain about the gangs and drug dealers more?” she asked, knowing her village was now very close but he had managed to make her even more curious now.

Rubbing his muscled arm nervously, Pyrick nodded. "Sure, I guess. What do you want to know?" What more is there to them? They deal drugs and hurt people. Pretty simple, if you ask me.

“I don’t know anything about them that’s why I’m asking you, because it seemed like you knew a lot about them,” Ayame said, as they arrived at the entrance to her village. They had managed to arrive just by sundown and during this time not to many people were out, so the village was lit up by the lights coming from many of the houses. "But let's stop talking about that because I bet your starving right now.”

A wide grin spread across Pyrick's face. "Where's the restaurant. I'm sure you're tired and don't want to put up with me, of all people." He stretched out a little before pulling his shirt over his head.

“Okay, I’ll show you they way and then I’ll head on home. Also there is an inn next to the restaurant so you can sleep for the night.” Ayame said. “So just follow me.” she then began walking down the pathway that leads to the restaurant.

Pyrick arched an eyebrow, but followed the girl anyway. "You've lived here all your life, huh? If I were a small town kind of guy, and not a traveler, I'd stay in a place like this, I suppose." He waved a hand through the air carelessly, as if the statement were just to keep from silence.

Ayame smiled. “I know my little village doesn’t compare to your grand city, but why did you decide to leave it?” she asked, wondering why he would leave such a place. She then looked at him and waiting for him to answer.

Pyrick's face shadowed for a moment before he restrained his emotions. "It's not important," he mumbled, examining the small village for future navigation. Because I ran into too much, too soon. He plastered on a smile and winked at Ayame. "How about that food?" he hinted, waiting for her to continue going.

Why do I feel like he’s hiding something from me? Ayame thought to herself, as she took notice of how Pyrick’s facial expressions changed as he answered her question and then remembering back to how his facial expression darkened when he was explaining to her about how his city was like, but it wasn’t in her nature to pry so she wasn’t going to let it bother her. “Alright then, we aren’t to far now.” she told him, resuming her walk towards the village restaurant.

With a small sigh of relief, Pyrick followed her once again. Sheesh.. For a minute there I thought she was going to press for more information. I don't know her well enough to tell her shit like that. He mulled over a few other thoughts in his mind as he followed Ayame almost mindlessly.

(Sorry for taking so long to respond *was very sick and still is moderately sick* So you can guess how my Christmas was like. *takes out a very long blade* Zankantou Inazuma Juuryoku Otoshi! *slashes his sucky Christmas in half* Anyway, I’ll shall post now.)
“Well here we are.” Ayame said, standing in front of the somewhat modern village restaurant which looked more like a diner. It was also somewhat small because since in her village most people just cooked there own food and ate at there houses. Luckily, the food made in the restaurant was good and cheap. You could say it was mostly for people who would past by the village to stop and get something to eat. Also right next to the restaurant on the left side was the Inn so Pyrick could stay for in for the night if he wanted. “I guess we’ll part ways now, Pyrick.”

I wonder if they serve food that tastes home-made. Damn, I wish I could cook. Blinking away his thoughts Pyrick grinned. "You're not hungry?" he asked with as charming a smile as he could muster. I don't mind paying, but I'm so used to people... Don't get me wrong, I hate people..... But do I really want to be alone? I haven't actually talked to a person for almost a week. It's been a week. Shaking his head he replastered the smile that had fallen from his face. "Nah, you're probably tired. See me off tomorrow?" ((Trust me, I know how it is to have a crappy Christmas. I'll try to post as often as I can, but I might not be on for a while. My ex came down for Chrismas... To spend with his family, but he's ending up spending more time here than with his kin. He's changed so much from the way he used to be...... Anyway, aside from that, my friends are having issues and I have to be there for them and all, too. It's really frustrating. I'll see you around, ya? Missed ya, Kazuma. And I heard you called Dub a girl. *snicker* And vis versa. Sorry.))

My master probably wouldn’t mind if I came back a littler late this time. The sounds of Ayame’s stomach growling then snapped her out of thought and made her cheeks flash a light crimson red of embarrassment. “Well I am a little hungry…..so I guess I can join you, Pyrick.” she said, realizing she hadn’t ate anything since the morning.
((I understand, Pyris. Your situation does sound like a pain but I’ll be around so you don’t have to worry about me disappearing on ya.))
