"Not if you did it right, and more than anything it depends on the sharpness of the blade..."
Sesshoumaru ran his thumb down the edge of the sword and was satisfied to see that at least it appeared to be in good condition. Blood dribbled down his cut thumb and he licked it away before watching the cut knit and heal, leaving not even a trace of it's existence.
"A large piece of thick cloth would do, but you cannot draw it too tightly to the blade until you have layered it at least once," he suggested curtly. "Back to your experience with a blade...."

"Um okay...I thing a holder thing would be better, though. As for my, um...experience...I kinda stole this thing from my dad before i ran away, so...I have absolutely no idea how to use it!" SD grinned cheesily, hoping to incur some sympathy from her cuteness.
Her smile faded as serious thought took over. "But...how hard can it be? I mean, all you need to do is swing it at the guy you're trying to hit, right?" She looked up at the demon hopefully.

If she could find a sheath for that blade, I would be rather impressed... Sesshoumaru mused. However, he shook it out of his mind at the next words. Quite the insult to swordsmanship...
"If all it took were to swing a blade, then why do you think swordsmanship was invented?" he said sharply. "No, if you were to swing a blade against a warrior, nothing would come of it. For instance..."
He drew his Tenseiga and backed into a fighting position.
"Try and hit me. Really try to hit me," he ordered. "If what you believe is true, it should be easy enough for you to do so."

SD's eyes practucally leapt out of her head. "What...? Oh! N-no...no, I can't do that! Try to hit you?? But...you're my sensei! And besides...I dunno how to use this thing! At all!" She took a step back, staring worriedly at the blade Sensei II held.

"Do it anyway. I am not going to hurt you with this. I merely want to test you, and I want you to learn something of swordsmanship," Sesshoumaru told her, his grip never relaxing on Tenseiga's hilt. True enough, it would not cut unless he wanted it to.

Hiei couldn't keep a slight smirk from spreading across his face. Removing his katana from his shoulder, he prodded SD's back with the hilt, rather gently. For him, at least.
"Go on. Do as he says. If your sensei tells you to do something, you don't question it. You don't protest. You just do it."

A knock came at the dojo's door, where a rainbow-haired janitorial cyborg from the future ((wonder who that could be?)) awaited patiently for someone to answer. She had some questions for the sensei(s).

Hiei rolled his eyes and sighed quietly.
"I got it..." he muttered, stalking over to the door, his katana back in place over his shoulder. Sliding the door open, he raised his eyebrow when he saw Zi standing there.
"What do you want?" he asked in his usual blunt manner.

Zi flipped some papers attatched to a clipboard. "Good evening sir or madame," she read from the clipboard, "I am here to inquire as to howmany students you have, your fighting styles, and weapon uses."

Hiei shook his head as a bead of sweat rolled down one cheek.
"One, swordsmanship, swords. Anything else?"
'Baka onna...' he thought, slightly exasperated.
((Baka onna=Stupid/idiotic/foolish woman))

"Aha," said the girl, shaking her head slowly, "I'm afraid you may have to broaden your teachings for the newb world. There are guns, and laser-cannons, and explosives nowadays--" she took one glance at the scary demon (again) and took a quick breath, "Not that swordsmanship isn't fine-- you know what? I think I'll just be leaving now." She turned to leave, and descided no to report this to her officials.
((heh. Just messing around. I'm glad you guys have a student, I'm sure more will arive the more this rp goes on. ^^))

((Oh, boy.......... *sweatdrop*))
Hiei shook his head. "Guns... laser-cannons... explosives... Big deal... In the hands of a true master, a sword is the deadliest weapon of all... Guns and the like are for those who cannot handle a blade," he said icily.

"I don't know how to use this thing!!" SD insisted, turning back to Sesshomaru after the random inspector left. "I can't fight, that's why I came here! So you can teach me! I don't wanna make a fool out of myself on the first day!!"
