There's gonna be very few poems in here, but I guess I still gotta create my own new thread, yeah? *sweatdrop* Oh, well...
Anyway. Here's my first, and (for a while, at least) only poem, inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean. Enjoy! =^^=
Bring Me That Horizon
I’d ne’er touch land if I had my way For feeling my face stung by cold salt spray As I sail through life to me means freedom So bring me that horizon!
My ship flies o’er the waves so blue Ne’er has there been happiness more true A ship means sailing, and sailing means freedom So bring me that horizon!
If you take my ship, you take my joy But I’ll hunt you down because I’m not your toy I’ll hunt you down to regain my freedom So bring me that horizon!
My ship is my love, and the ocean my life For ‘tis e’er changing, and there is constant strife But through it all I’ll sail, enjoying my freedom So bring me that horizon!
I’d ne’er touch land if I had my way For feeling my face stung by cold salt spray As I sail through the storm to me means freedom So bring me that horizon!
Aye, bring me that horizon…

Explanation:Okay, recently, during US History class, of all classes, I was feeling somewhat... depressed. This freeform poem is the result.
Is That Fair?
Just cuz I usually get good grades, There’s always so much pressure, Coming down on me from my teachers, When I can’t do it, I’m scared- Scared of the grade I’ll get for being incapable, Even though it’s not my fault.
Is that fair? Tell me-please tell me, is that fair?
Others think I have such a great life, But I don’t. Some think I’m spoiled, But I’m not. I’ve never known what it’s like to have a mother and father, Together, happy… protecting me.
Is that fair? Tell me-please tell me, is that fair?
One of my dad’s best friends Was like an uncle to me. Jay had two sons my age, Now Jeremy and Damien don’t have a father, And my dad’s business partner and friend is gone- The Flying J is no more. I miss him.
Is that fair? Tell me-please tell me, is that fair?
My mother and father get along now, But her mom still hates my dad, And so does my shrink. She gives me medication to help control my temper, Then tests how well it works By insulting my father, right to my face!
Is that fair? Tell me-please tell me, is that fair? Won’t you tell me? Please… I want to know…

I like that first poem of yours. ^^; Then again...that might be because I love the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. XD! That, and Mr. Johnny Depp is my idol (along with Russell Crowe). I hope one day I'll be as good as them...
About the second poem...that almost makes me want to cry. In all out honesty, I understand how you feel about a lot of things.
I'm not the smartest person in the world, so I definitely understand the school part. I used to be a pretty smart kid, but lately I've been letting a lot of people down with my grades...*Coughs*
As far as the family part goes, I understand how that is too. My life has been a living hell for me due to all the "divorce battles" and such. Now that I think about it...this is the only time I've actually been happy with my life (though it took taking my mother out of the picture to find that peace).
The only thing I can really say is that...life is unfair and I hate it for that. It seems that good people are always the ones who have it bad, but don't think you're going through so much pain for nothing. There's always a reason for everything that happens. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad I managed to survive all those bad times. If I didn't, then I wouldn't be the energetic, fun-loving, absent-minded dude that stands before you today. ^_^;

^-^ Thanks, Dub! I really appreciate it. When I wrote the second one, I was just feeling pretty depressed...
That, and I was bored in US History class... *sweatdrop* Yeah...
But, thanks!

I finally got my internet working on MY computer and my mom bought me a brand new, slick-looking acoustic/electric guitar. *Pets and strokes it* It's my baaaaaaby. XD! How was your Christmas, Hiei?

It was good! *grins* Look on the General Board, in the "Whadja Get?" thread(or whatever the exact name is) for more. This thread is just for my poetry and people's comments about it, ok?
Okay. This next poem is one I just wrote for my mom for her birthday, coming up in January. I'm planning to translate it into Spanish, too, with help from my Spanish teacher at school. *grins*
A Late New Year's Resolution
I know I haven't been the best-behaved kid, When it came to stuff you didn't want, I did, But now I swear I'm going to change, Although I know it may sound strange, I promise you in this new year, I'll be better, don't you fear!
