ooc// Of course. -grinbow-
BIC// Lucielle smirked. Obviously a hunter. She straightened up, holding her scythe in her left hand and resting it against her shoulder. "It's only just nighttime, sir," She replied. "And last time I checked, you weren't my father. Not like I listen to him anyway." She grinned at Kratos. "I figure you'd want some help finding that Vampire," she suggested.

"Help? I think not...Might I ask why you are out here?" Kratos narrowed his eyes in suspicion, eyeing the scythe the girl was carrying.

"this just might work." Varen said, as he corked the vial of pink liquid. "Of course, he's probably protected by a ward or something." He slipped the vial into the folds of his robes, picked up his staff and headed for the door.

Lucielle, in one swift movement, flipped her scythe around to where the top edge of the blade was facing the hunter before her. "Go ahead, it's safe against mortals," she half lied. If she wanted to kill said mortal, it could be fatal. "40% regular steel, 70% holy silver from a cross in Lanchester." She, of course, was avoiding the previous question by talking about her scythe, as Kratos had showed interest in it.

"I'm not going to touch it, if that's what you're implying, girl. I simply hope you know how to use it...for your sake." Kratos hooked the crossbow on the sling across his back, and turned away. "The streets are becomming more and more dangerous every night." He turned, and began to walk away. "Children should stay home..."
He paused, thinking about what she had said. "Oh, and, by the way...Your math is off." He continued on without another word.

ooc// Lol, I hit the wrong button. No need to edit that, it's funny anyway. XD
ic// Luci's mouth hung open for about 20 seconds before she realized he was walking away. Snapping back into reality, she trotted after him. "One; I have a leaner's permit, so I'm practically not a child. Children don't learn how to drive." She shook her head in a way to suggest the hunter was out of his mind. "Two, its holy. Don't question the Vatican," she said. Since she was bitten a few years ago, she was forced to drop out of school, after all.

(((lol, I wasn't sure whether that was a typo or not, heh heh heh)))
Kratos sighed. "One: I don't particularly care how old you are. You act like a child, and that's what will get you killed...or turned. Two: I still don't care about how holy and blessed your scythe is. And Three:" Kratos paused here to turn and fuly face the girl. "Exactly how do you know that I am not a vampire?" Kratos had been mistaken for one on more than one occasion by ignorant mortals; his skin was almost as pale as theirs, since he almost never ventured out during the daytime, preferring to keep the same hours as the creatures he hunted.

"On second thought," Varen said to himself. "Maybe it's better if I wait inside."

Lucielle smiled. Sweeping her scythe off the ground, she bowed deeply. "How can I tell," She repeated. "I just can. Maybe because I know the exact location of any vampire around here, and I'm not... Sensing... anything from you, aside from the intent to kill."

Kratos narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "What are you? Are you a vampire?"

Lucielle tossed her hair out of her eyes and laughed. "A hunter, a rather well known one, at that, is asking ME if I'm a vampire?" She grinned. "Why? One would think you could tell instantly."

"I can, generally. And that's why I'm asking you. You don't look quite human, but you don't look fully Vampiric, either." As Kratos awaited her answer, he found himself wishing that he hadn't left his sword in the room. Crossbows weren't good for short distances such as this...And it took time to reload them, should he miss...That is if she is a vampire. She mentioned that she was a hunter as well...Perhaps her strange demeanor and appearance is due to that fact...Suspicion never left his eyes as he watched her carefully.

Lucielle only smiled. "I'll be quite amused if you decide to attack me," She mused quietly, "For I would most likely win." She tapped her fingers against her scythe idly. "I'm in limbo, so to speak," she remarked. "Let's leave it at that."

"You're a halfling??" Kratos asked, alarmed. He took a step back. I can't fight her with a crossbow...That scythe's wide blade could easily act as a shield...He cast another glance at the scythe before returning his gaze to the girl. "What do you want with me?"

"A halfling?" She raised an eyebrow. "Interesting term. Look, sir, I'm not that dangerous, in comparison to that vampire." She sighed, staring at him with her head slightly downcast. "I want nothing from you, I merely wanted to complement you on that nice shot. And since you keep making conversation, I can only oblige."
