((MegaSquee of Yayness!!)) Okay, I am proud to present the first Pokemon RP on Harebells!! *Fanfare, crowds cheering, sounds of general mayhem*
Hey, who brought that tape recorder in here?? *Turns off*
*Ahem* anyways...Hre's how things are gonna go:
Version--Let's stick with the original Blue, Red, and Yellow versions, just for the first Pokemon RP I'll put up a list of the original 150 pokemon eventually, along with other things. This means only the Kanto region.
On Pokemon in Party-- Trainers can have six, in the game. Anymore are transferred to an account on PC, accessed by you with a password, stored electronically.
On Battles--No turns. Fight Pokemon battles like you would haveyour characters fight in a swordfight or something.
On Moves--Use your best judgement, and look something up if you're not sure your Pokem can learn something. Pokemon will learn moves on their own if they are closely associated with other (i.e. Thunderbolt can turn in Thunder), and trainers can train their pokemon alone to use certian things (I.e. teaching Charmeleon to breathe fire, or something...))
On Leveling Up--N/A in the RP. Pokemon can just get stronger, but there are no definite places where they just "level up."
On Evolution--Again, use your best judgement based on what level a pokemon evolves in the game and how strong they are in the RP.
On Evolution Stones--They can be bought in the Celedon Department store, except for MoonStones. They are absorbed into the pokemon during evolution, so no reuse of stones.
On currency--Money is in Pokedollars, shortened to P. You guys shouldknow what things cost and whatnot.
On Pokeballs--Pokeballs can be used to capture wild pokemon, and trainer pokemon, but trainers can block balls or use their pokemon to fry them to prevent this from happening. Pokeballs are not lost if they miss the pokemon or whatnot, so feel free to have your charrie go back and recover them after a pokemon hs been caught.
On potions and other medicines--Potions and other medicines are wonder-healers. They are sprays that work once, and heal immediately wounds or w/e proportionally to the strength of the Potion. Antidotes are drunken, Paralyze, Burn, and Ice Heals are sprayed. Anything else, I'll mention as it arises.
On Pokecenters--Free. Healing takes about 5 minutes. It is not immediate. And it only heals minor wounds and such. Things like broken bones must heal naturally.
On fainting/death--Pokemon can die. Every status problem will stop its effects upon fainting, but sustaining too much damage can kill a Pokemon. Be careful with your pokemon.
On holding Items--No. Most pokemon can't hold thing with hands, and those that do need them for attacks. Berried and other things can be tossed to them, but power-up items like Steel Coat and Miracle Seed don't exist.
((Anything else feel free to modify my post or ask me about it.))

For a list of the Pokemon, their evolutions, their attacks, and whatnot else that is impossibly useful (compliments of ST)-- www.happychild.org.uk/supercoolzone/pokemon/evolution/index.htmNote: This will not have anything to do with Ash, misty, Brock, or any of Ash's other friends. I'd rather not deal with legendary pokemon at the moment ,eaning that I don't want anyone to have them. The only legendry pokemon available are the birds, Mew, and Mewtwo. No dogs, or anything else. Perhaps I'll think more about them later. ~*New Addition as of 10/12/06*~*Ahem* GYM LEADERS!! Strongest Pokemon are bolded. -Pewter Gym-Ever the woman-chaser, Brock eventually finds one woman and settles down to raise a kid. Brad has now inherited the position of Gym Leader, and also his fathers passion for rock and ground-type pokemon. Graveller Sandslash OnyxCerulean- Leaving no heir of her own when she retired, Misty instead entrusted her Gym Leader title to one of her star pupils, Lyria. Graceful and fluid both in and out of water, Lyria has taken on the challenge of battling trainers for the Cascadebadge. Staryu GolduckSeaking Horsea Vermillion- Though always prepared and ever-ready for anything in life, even master strategist and ex-military official Lt. Surge couldn’t predict his own untimely death at the hands of his own Raichu. Considered an accident, Lt. Surge was struck in the chest by a stray Thunderbolt of his pokemon’s during a training session. He went into cardiac arrest and died. Everyone knew he was growing older, but to die so suddenly… This was over five years ago, and the Gym had lain empty for quite some time until very recently, when it reopened under the guidance of Jake, a young and vivacious trainer who, out of reverence for the old Lieutenant, kept the tradition of lightning-type Pokemon, and added the Steel-type to create an edge in battle. - Electrode - Magnemite - Magneton- Electabuzz Celedon-Prim and proper, Erika never married, and, like Misty, left her Gym in the care of a star pupil, who continued her passion for flowers and grass-types. Lily keeps to the tradition of flower-arranging, and teaches it to a new generation of women. -Weepinbell -Ivysaur -Vileplume-Tangela Fuchsia-*Is running out of ideas* Okay, so Koga left the Gym to a student of his as well. He was…poison type, right? Yeah…umm…someone think up a name. Lol -Wheezing -Muk -Arbok - Nidoking-Saffron-Finally finding joy in life, Sabrina also finds a man, and has twins. Both Cierra and Sarai share her telepathic abilities, and use flawless telepathy to coordinate join attacks on a trainer. Sarai-Hypno - Slowbro Cierra- Kadabra-Haunter - Cinnibar- *More lack of ideas* Okay, Blaine left his little shin-dig to his own son, Chase, who kept up his father’s Fire passions and took them to the next level. Considered one of the strongest of the Gym Leaders, since he inherited his dad’s pokemon along with raising his own. - Charizard-Arcanine -Rapidash -Flareon - Viridian and Team Rocket- Years ago, when Giovanni disappeared seemingly forever, Team Rocket was in chaos. Their leader may have wanted them to leave, but the criminals themselves couldn’t exactly go away and live normal lives. They needed a new leader. And so power passed down the ranks until our anti-heros stepped up to the bat. Well, one did, anyway. Jesse took up the role of Leader, after finally being free of Giovanni’s orders to capture Ash’s Pikachu, grew up and learned to take charge in matters that actually…well… mattered, and James took on the role of running the Viridian Gym, likewise maturing on his own. Though they claim to not hold any contact with one another, and James steadfastly insists that he has nothing to do with Team Rocket any more, something still keeps him from completely forgetting about it. Is it his love for crime, or something similar to do with his old partner-in-crime? He’ll never tell. James[/b] - Wheezing -Venasaur -Charizard -Blastoise -Pidgeot -Rhydon Jesse[/b] - Arbok-Fearow -Ninetails - Golbat -Parasect - Persian (Meowth finally evolved)

Rules:
1) Basic rules--no GM, PP, Mary/Gary sues. This goes for both Trainers and Pokemon.
2) No rapid fire switching in the middle of a battle. Allow two switches per indiviual faint--i.e. one switch when the other pokemon faints, and one switch in the middle of the battle.
3) Listen to me, and whatever I say goes in this RP. hence the RP-Master status. ((Bossy-sounding, I know, but after the A/D thing, I don' want something like that to happen again.))
4) Limit 6 pokemon, you must state your original six in your Profile, and change them as necessary to accomodate.
5) Any Pokemon caught after the 6-limit will be transferred to your account in the Pokemon centers and stored electronically.

((Alright, here we go: Intro!!))
It is 50 years after Ash and his little saga and whatnot, only there remained 150 pokemon (151 including Mew), and only the Kanto region exists. A new generation of pokemon trainers is rising to power...
...Some having more difficulty than others. Aspiring young trainers have their own goals: The legendary pokemon, defeating the Elite Four, become Champion, catching all pokemon...
Pokedexes have become standard now, being able to be bought in most cities, and given to Pokemon Academy students. Professor Oak made a fortune off them, and died a very rich and wold-famous man.
The new standards of the trainer's world have been set. Who will rise to be the greatest? Who will achieve his goal? Who would fall beneath the pressure and have their dreams utterly stamped out and hopes crushed forever?
This is the next generation of Pokemon lovers. The PokeGen.

"Come on, come on...!!" Kitsune ran through Viridian Forest, hopelessly lost and praying the exit was aroung the corner. Strings from webs of Caterpie and Weedle trailed along his limbs as he sprinted down poorly lit paths, running from the bugs. He was already weakening from their poisons...He'd been stung just minutes before by a Weedle's horn carelessly. He'd left all his pokemon but one--Charmander--at home, hoping to train it a little. It hadnt worked, obviously...
"--Gah!!" Kitsune tripped, hard, and fell. He looked back to see what had happened, and gasped. One of the Caterpie had managed to catch his ankles with a String Shot, and they were glued together. He was trapped...
((*Whistles innocently* Feel free to save him...))

"Jolteon! Thunderbolt, now!" The yellow pokemon lept forward, landing behind the boy and before the caterpie. Lightning cackled around it's body, before charging up into one bolt of lightning and striking the caterpie. "Good. Now. Tackle attack!" Jolteon lept forward, over Kitsune and rammed it's head striaght into the caterpie, sending it flying back into the forest, before turning back to face Kitsune. It reached down with its head and bit the string, freeing him.
"Nice job Jotleon, return." Ross said, watching the pokemon trot back to his side. "You okay kid?"

Saige followed the streak of lighting back to the small trail. Finally. But will that lead to a Pokemon battle? I'm so afraid of battling... I just want to breed them.. She burst out of the bushes to see a Jolteon tackle what looked like a Caterpie. "Oh gosh. Is everything okay?" she asked after the bug was thrown off.

Kitsune was pretty stunned at that. He looked up at the guy and scrambled to his feet, picking some of the sticky stuff off hs arms. He was panting, and looking slightly pale from the poison. He glanced down at his pants, feeling the pocket next to his right hand to make sure his pokeball wasn't damaged. He'd fallen on his Charmander's Pokeball, and his hip was probably bruised. It hurt a lot.
He didn't care; he was used to that kind of pain. Pokemon training was hard...He did a damage check on the rest of his body now that he was out of danger. A bunch of minor scrapes on his arms and a few bruises, but nothing that a Potion or two wouldn't cure.
"I...I'm fine, mostly..." he looked up at the two people who'd come out of the forest. "...But I got stung by a Weedle back there...Do you have an antidote I could use?" he asked the boy. "Oh, um...who are you?" He'd almost forgotten to ask.

Ross's eyes narrowed slightly. He had only two potions, and wanted to save them for his pokemon. But this kid was hurt, and they were a couple hours deep in the forest. "Yeah." He swung his backpack off his shoulder, opening it and pulling out one of his potions. "Catch." He said, tossing it to Kitsune.

Kitsune was caught off-guard, and nearly dropped the antidote. Video game reflexes did come in handy every now and then, don't let any parent tell you otherwise.
"Thank you..." He opened the bottle and drank the liquid within, tensing. Didn't taste the best...((Yeah, Antidotes are liquids, I'll define more on that after this post.))
He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, kid-style, after he finished, and took a deep breath. "Man, that was close...Umm...I haven't seen either of you two around anywhere, I don't think...Who are you?"

Ross kept his eyes on the boy, looking slightly suspicious. "Ross... Eurian." He didn't often give his last name. Most knew the name of his father, and most had a joke about it when it was said, which got him mad, which never ended well.

Eurian? As in...Son of professor Eurian?? Kitsune's aleady big eyes widened. Contrary to popular opinion of the man, Kitsune had nothing but respect for him and any other pokemon researcher in Kanto. "Wow...So...is that a real...Zapdos feather?" he asked, pointing at Ross' chest.

Ross looked a bit taken aback. He definetly wasn't expecting such a reaction. Or the question. Most would have quickly decided it wasn't. Even though it was... He watched the boy carefully for a moment, deciding whether or not to answer. He glanced at Jolteon, who gave a small nod. Obviously, he felt no reason not to trust the kid. He turned back to Kitsune, glanced at the girl, then back at him, before giving a small nod. "Yeah."
