Firewing shrugged, her jaws parting slightly in a grin.
"I found a small herd of deer grazing a short distance from my den. I'd been hunting in other areas, so I suppose they could have forgotten about me... This was one of the largest. And it's not really all that big, to tell you the truth."
She brought the carcass around to one side of her, still wrapped securely in her prehensile tail.
"Look... I... I don't want much more. Do any of you want some?" she offered, a bit awkwardly.

(Let's say this post was before yours, Hiei.)
Despite herself, Krishka couldn't help but salivate at that. Even a partial carcass like that looked so appetizing. And as low as she'd been feeling lately, the raptor could use the nourishment.
In fact, her condition was one of the reasons she wouldn't go into her human form. It would probably be more visible there and she certainly didn't want it to show.
Rather than comment at all, she went to the river bank, searching for a fish. Within moments and with a swipe of her claws, her wriggling prey was speared onto her curved finger-claws and she began to eat it as if it were no more than a sandwich.

Resa looked up at Mathicia warily.
"That depends. Who wants to know?" she asked.
Her coat was still white, seeing as she had felt no need to attempt to hide herself. Despite this, she still was unsure as to whether she trusted this group or not.

Tobias shrugged. "Personally, I'd love some, 'cept I'm not a scavenger, and I think the bigger animals should eat first, anyway...I can survive on a few fish a day. I don't think Kriska can..."

Bolting her fish voraciously, Krishka nodded her somewhat triangular head.
"Um...yeah, sorry if that seemed a bit rude..." she mumbled.

Firewing's grin widened slightly.
"I don't mind. I do know what it's like to not be able to find enough food to sustain yourself, you know... Here. Take it."
Her powerful tail offered the deer carcass to Krishka politely.

"Thanks!!" Krishka said enthusiastically, lunging forward with her jaws wide open. She tore a sizeable bit of flesh off with a twist of her neck after she had a good grip, then threw her head back and swallowed.
Oh, how she had missed meat. Tender, delicious meat. Considering how long it had been since she'd had a full meal, this was heaven to her.

Tobias tactfully turned away before he got sick. One thing he never enjoyed was watching other, large carnivores eat. It was just so...primitive to watch.
He slid to the ground just in time to watch a small bird whizz past his shoulder. He was just thinking how one of the cats might take a swipe at it for a meal when it veered around and headed back to him. It didn't seem kamakazi...
It ended up landing on his shoulder, and twittered at him. He snickered softly, shaking his head.
"Not long," he whispered. "I'm not staying here."
((I figure only other birds could understand the smaller, non-magical birds. Sound good?))

The fish was enough to feed a human, but not a tiger. Doing the logical thing, Tyro reverted back to human form. The two ear rings in his upper and lower right earlobe glinted in the sunlight as his body changed. He blinked a couple times, his golden eyes taking a quick glance around. He felt sort of odd standing there, he always thought his hair and eye colors were both sort of unnatural.
As his body changed, his stomach shrunk, leaving him to feel more then full from the fish he'd just devoured.

Feeling slightly odd, Mathicia found solace in human form, if only to run an unsure hand through her red hair. "Mathicia wants to know," she said to the distant creature to get the dead animal out of her sights. Green eyes flicked over her, wondering why she felt the need to creep up on the group. How many more damn people are going to show up?

((*Accepts the lack of response as a yes*))
Tobias looked up at the others, just to make sure they weren't wondering what was going on between him and a sparrow, then shrugged to himself.
"If you must," he said as the bird chirped at him.

Krishka paused, turning to Tobias and appearing apologetic.
"Sorry 'bout that," she mumbled, slowing her pace and trying to eat a bit more neatly than she had before.
It wasn't working very well.

Firewing nodded slightly as Krishka tore chunks from the carcass.
"That's much better. Now I know it won't go to waste," she said. "I'm going to put it down now, alright?"
She carefully lowered the carcass to the ground, then unwrapped her tail, whisking it swiftly out of the way. The last thing she wanted was to lose a chunk of her tail, simply because it happened to get in the way of those formidable jaws.
She looked around at the others, cocking her head slightly.
Is there a specific reason we're all shifting to our human forms? she wondered, then shrugged.
Unfurling her wings, she wrapped them loosely around her body, concealing herself from view.
The wings slowly shrunk slightly, then were spread wide. Firewing stood there in her more humanoid form, pale lavender skin gleaming in the soft forest light.
"I've never seemed able to look quite human..." she explained, slightly sheepishly.
((Btw, I'm working on posting pics of both her forms in her profile. For her "human" form, though, I messed up a little. Her wings are supposed to be a bit longer, about to her knees. I don't really feel like redrawing the whole picture just to fix that, so... yeah...))

"Hey, 's what I'd expect from a dragon," Tobias said. "You guys have a closer connection to your animal forms than we do." He shrugged, causing the sparrow to flutter his wings to stay balanced.

Firewing chuckled.
"I suppose that's true, isn't it? Also, I prefer not to be defenseless, no matter what my shape. If I became a human, I wouldn't have any natural weapons. This way I can still fly and use my fire and ice."
She carefully furled her wings neatly at her back, keeping them out of the way.
