Firewing paused, then quickly swallowed the strip of meat that was in her mouth. Lifting herself to her feet, she stretched her neck out slightly, sniffing. Her nostrils flared as the scents of the forest flooded her nose. She could still smell the tiger and ocelot, but now she could also smell a reptilian-type scent, and a bird.
That red-tailed hawk... What was his name again? Tobias? Huh. Why would he be here in the center of the forest? I'd expect him to stay a bit closer to the edges... she thought, taking a couple of steps.
She paused and looked back at her deer. She thought for a few moments, then shrugged slightly.
"Eh... why not?"
THe purple dragon carefully picked up the deer carcass with her prehensile tail, then started walking through the forest toward the others, keeping close to the riverbank.

"A simple sounding yet complicated to do suggestion: Free the gods, destroy the wizard." Tyro stated, facing the entirty of the group. "Sounds like hero's work, but a hero is made, not born." He shrugged.

Tobias snickered. "I've been trying to rally the animals into a revolt, but they need a strong leader. And hawks can't be heros. I'm a scout, through and through. Tobias stretched his wings and glided off the branch, landing lightly on human feet as he transformed into a human midair. Barefoot as always, he wore a button-down shirt and common pants. He leaned against a trunk, his hands in his pockets.
"I can't do much in the way of heroism, though I'd gladly take the lead if I had any sort of strength..."

Firewing slowed down as she approached the others, still carrying the dead deer coiled in her tail. She knew that if Tobias happened to glance over towards her, there would be absolutely no way she could escape being seen.
His eyesight was much too sharp for that...

Tyro raised an eyebrow, "A hawk by animal, perhaps, but I'm sure you have some sort of other power. Traveling in animal form may be easier, but when it comes to fighting and actually getting the gems and freeing the gods, being a human would be much more preferred."

"All I've got is camouflage, eyesight, and speed. Spy qqualities, not heroic leader abilities," Tobais said, shrugging. "It's you guys that have the power. I've practically considered prey by raptors..." he shot a glance at Kriska, smirking, then spotted a purple glint in the distance beyond her.
"...And dragons," he added warily. "These times are particularly difficult for smaller predators."

"Brute strength cannot win a battle." Tyro replied, turning his head to look in the direction of which Tobias has glanced. "We'll need skills like your own as well." He narrowed his eyes slightly to see what was coming toward them.
The dragon's scales reflected in the light, giving off her position easily. He raised an eyebrow, surprised to be surrounded by so many others at one time. Before, it had been a while before he'd seen anyone.

"For some of us anyway," Krishka added. "I'm perfectly dangerous as I am."
She froze for a moment, lifting her head and sniffing. The scent of dead animal and something else came to her nose.
I wonder if anyone else can smell that...?

"Hm..." she muttered, contemplating what she was overhearing.
Resa slunk along the ground towards the group of animals, her eyes on the approaching dragon. That creature was many times larger than herself. Well, nearly all of the animals nearby were bigger than her, but the dragon was what caught her eye.

Tobias couldn't. Like any human, his sense of smell was not the acutest.
"Which is why I'm willing to help. Not lead," Tobias said. "My skills and talents are perfect for scouting and spying."

Tyro nodded, the most of his attention on the approaching dragon. "I feel weird saying such things, but I believe it would be better to take action verses stand by and complain. Although mere inhabitants of this forest, each of us has unique powers that would make it much less of a challenge to do what we're speaking of. Getting the gems would be an adventure worth the time."

Tobias sighed, grinning. "Which is what I've been saying. We need a leader to pull us togther. Someone that everyone will follow."

Mathicia grinned, "Techincally, I'm an omnivore," she said. "But I'm far more dangerous with a pencil and paper," she practiacally purred. I hope I can help. Her ears pricked at the sound of movement nearby. "My skills are more of the plotting and quick thinking type of thing-- Who's that?" she said, cutting herself off and looking at Resa and ignoring the dragon.

Firewing's fin-like ears pricked upwards at the mention of the gems. She entered the clearing, somewhat cautiously.
"Tobias, right? It's been a while," she greeted the hawk currently in human shape.
Her sharp purple eyes caught sight of Krishka, and widened, ever so slightly.
So that's the source of the reptilian scent... she thought.
But... what is she?

"Indeed...Firewing, right?" Tobias asked, looking at the dragon. "I see someone isn't having as much trouble as the rest of us in finding food..."
