These are the rules.
-No Powerplaying or Godmoding, or at least very little of it. -Make sure you seperate your mediums of communication. OOC will be in (parentheses), Thought will be in *asterisks*, and speech will be in "Quotations" -Make your intro nice and long, so just in case the anime isn't well known, we know what your character is like. -Try to act in character, though I understand a little ooc-ness -Try your best to stay literate and do adequate posting. No one liners -No chatspeak. Asking relevant questions is okay. -Put them in any grade you want, any classes.
Setting: It's ten minutes before school starts. Students are arriving and talking as they wait for the bell to ring and signal the start of the first day of school.
The schedule for school is set up in block format. four periods, with homeroom before 1st, and each period is 90 minutes long, except for 3rd period--That one is 120 minutes long, in order to divide it into 4 different 30 minute lunch periods--and homeroom, which is 15 minutes long.

A young man clothed in torn, baggy black pants reclined against the trunk of the tree he was in. Situated on the highest branch, he was hidden from the rest of the students below.
That was all the better for him, since he wasn't very sociable anyway.
Reddish stripes stood out on his pale cheeks as he glanced into the sunlight peering through the leaves. Just one more year, and he would be free of this oppressive establishment they called school.
Sesshoumaru had endured enough of it to last four demon lifetimes.
He yawned tiredly, tapping his clawed fingers on the top of his lunch bag before dragging them across the blue material.
"School is such a bother."

Another kid, about the same build, maybe a little taller, (^^u don't kill me) cruised up into the parking lot in a Purple Volkwagon Beetle. He couldn't help snickering as all the freshmen and a couple sophomores started punching each other when they saw it.
He got out with a small backpack, and locked it behind him, pocketing the keys.
"Heads up, Kratos!!" someone yelled. Acting on pure reflex, the senior turned and caught a football that had been sailing at his head.
"Hey, watch it! I only have one car!" he called out, a smile on his face. He tossed it back at a junior.
"Sorry," he said. "Nice catch, though..."
Kratos shook his head, smirking, and turned away, heading for the school building.

Sesshoumaru smirked.
"Your only car, and it's the one that makes humans punch each other," he muttered to himself.
Even as far from the parking lot as he was, the young man could hear Kratos's words as if he'd spoken right next to him.
Now there was one human he could deal with. Kratos had more than half a brain, and he knew how to use all of it. That was a rare thing in a building full of teenagers.
Well...normal teenagers anyway. Because Sesshoumaru wasn't normal.
Normal people didn't have markings on their face and arms. Nor did they have fangs and pointed ears, or even tails.
He was a demon.

Kratos shoved his hands in his pockets, glancing up at the clouds, grinning slightly. Nothing about him told anyone that he had almost been knocked cold by a vase chucked by his father fifteen minutes ago except for a small bandage on his cheek that didn't quite cover an inch long vertical cut that had only just started to heal. Thankfully, that had been the worst of the fight. And it had been aimed at his little brother. Kratos didn't want to think of what would have happened if he hadn't blocked it in time.
And so he didn't. Instead, he focused on the fact that Ryousan was now safe, in school, having just been driven there by Kratos himself.
He turned his head on a whim, and glanced into the forest he was walking along the treeline of. He thought he saw a bit of fluff, but wasn't sure. "Hey, Sesshoumaru, you up there?" Kratos asked, pausing. He knew the demon was relatively antisocial, and woulnd't put it past him to spend the few minutes before class started in a tree. Probably mocking the others, he thought to himself.

Shifting slightly so that he was on his feet, the demon leapt out of the tree and landed gracefully to the ground.
"What gave me away?" he queried, his bushy tail twitching slightly. "I thought I was pretty well hidden away in that tree."

"Just a hunch, and a bit of your tail showing," Kratos replied. "Other than that, you were hidden well." Kratos glanced at the school building, and took a deep breath. "Plus, I'm getting better at sensing energies." He let it out slowly, absently rubbing the cut on his cheek. It was starting to itch.

"Hey guys, did the bell ring yet?" Reiki was coming around the corner, his jacket slung over his shoulder. He yawned as he came to a stop before the duo, an eyebrow raised. He looked tired, and he was. He was often late, and pretty much asked Kratos and Sesshoumaru if the bell had rung everyday.

"That so...?"
Sesshoumaru nodded briefly in acknowledgement as he saw Reiki.
"No, the bell didn't ring yet."
The taiyoukai put his arms behind his head and his face took on a thoughtful expression as he turned back to face Kratos.
"Are you sure you aren't a demon?" he finally said. "You sure do have some traits..."

"Cool, I made it in time for the first day of school this year. That's new." He yawned again, glancing at Kratos as Sesshoumaru spoke. He raised an eyebrow in question, also wondering the same thing.

"I've been wondering that all summer, Sesshoumaru" Kratos said, grinning at Reiki. "Nice to see someone's actually on time..."
Glancing back at Sesshoumaru, he said, "I'm pretty sure both my parents are human. But I have no idea where my powers came from, and even Ryou's starting to get those same weird feelings I had when I was his age..." Kratos shrugged. "And dad's not letting me go see mom to ask. I haven't seen her in months. He still blames Ryou and me for her condition."

"Yeah yeah." Reiki waved a hand as if dismissing the matter of himself always being late. He cast a grin at Kratos anyways. "Be cool if you did." He added, meaning the whole Demon matter.

"How stupid. He needs to quit doing that, and now. Or else I'll really give him a reason to be paranoid!" Sesshoumaru growled. "It's not your fault, and it's definitely not Ryou's fault."
He shook his head violently. Humans could be so stupid, especially when they were in denial...or in a state of stress that called for projection.

Reiki nodded in agreement, "Just don't leave me behind when you go Sesshoumaru, I want a piece too." He snorted quietly.

Kratos held up his hands. "Guys, guys...Come on. It's not his fault. He needs someone to blame. He's just that kind of guy." he paused, and looked away, lowering his hands. "I just wish he'd focus only on me...He almost killed Ryou this morning."
