Kuro pouted. "I space out for 2 minutes and I can't answer a simple question." She stared at SD disappointedly, but shrugged it off. "You should sit down, you'll pass out from talking that fast."

Lob rolls into the doorway accidentally bumping into SD "Oh, excuse me" backing up a little to give SD some space, then asks "Is this the only class still teaching. I checked the other rooms, but no one was in them"
((I would like to point out that i am a super newb at RP sites, and the any pointers that anyone could offer ,teacher or new student, would be greatly appreciated))

"Welcome!" Star says as she turns to face the new student. "Indeed several of the teachers are here, so I guess this is the only one going at the moment. I am Stardragon, generally called Star, and teacher of Historical Role Play class. Would you like to join us?" She asked then.

Christine had been zoned out until she heard Star speak again, she looked towards the door and gave a smile and a small wave to the newcomer.

Kuro was staring idly into space until the new student spoke. She returned to reality and practically jumped out of her seat. With a low sweeping bow, as Kuro was always fond of formalities like that, she nodded at him. "A pleasure to meet you. Just call me Kuro." After that, she sat back down and rocked back to the rear legs of the chair.

"nice ta meet ya Kuro" Lob says, while he observes everyone in the room.Waving back to Christine Lob says"I'd be happy ta join y'all" *looks for an empty table and spots one near the teachers desk and rolls up to it*. I'm actually very curious about the historical RP's." Lob exclaims. "Do they involve magic and such, or is it strictly based on reality" *rubbing his chin "Or is it like the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is a historical fiction novel." Lob curiously awaits the answer.

"It can be any or all three." Star replied excitedly. "And please remember to always capitalize properly." She added. "The term historical is in reference to a type of setting, something not technologically advanced. Whether it's real historical, fantasy historical, or some other form it entirely up to the creator or creators of the particular RP." She explained. "So some might have magic, some include Gods, others are strictly according to actual history."

"To others," Kuro chimed in, "it's referred to as 'medieval'. Though the term 'historical' only goes so far." She shifted slightly in her seat. "By the way, you may want to find a style you're more comfortable with, instead of switching from..." *stops to wave her arms around as an explanation* this. She switched back to a regular style. "At Harebell's, it's pretty much mandatory for all students and teachers to use what's called "Story Format." It's in past tense," she nodded, "like that, and in third person."

Christine was leaning back on her seat, eager to begin. When she heard the mention of the word Medieval she nearly fell off her chair. "That's the sort of Roleplay i like" She muffled a giggle.

"Oh wait, I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself." Lob slapped his forehead with the palm of his hand. "My names Lob. Its short for Caleb, but everyone just calls me Lob" Lob looked toward Kuro "So I should have maybe worded it something more like this ...while he observed everyone in the room.He waved back to Christine "I'd be happy ta join y'all" Lob looked for an empty table and spotted one near the teachers desk and rolled up to it. Instead of like ...while he observes everyone in the room.Waving back to Christine Lob says"I'd be happy ta join y'all" *looks for an empty table and spots one near the teachers desk and rolls up to it*, which is how it was originally." Lob asked in hope he is understands correctly.

Kuro nodded approvingly. "Just remember to place quotes where you need to, and all that lovely jazz." She rocked back in her seat just a little more, only the back two legs on the ground.

Lob scratched his head. "What's normally an appropriate length of time to place another post. I mean, I don't want anyone getting mad because it seems like I'm hogging a story." He flipped through his text book, half-heartedly looking for the answer himself.

Kuro sighed as the turned the question over in her head. "It really all depends on what is going on in the roleplay. If groups of people are seperated, and you and another are in one of those groups, you may need to roleplay quite a bit just to keep the roleplay alive. Though, if you're in a group of people, let's say," she stopped and thought. "Trying to find a way to escape a jail or something. You can't roleplay with a lot of action unless everyone is there. Otherwise, you'd be leaving people behind."
She looked around the room and waited to see if someone else had a response.

"Exactly so." Star interjected next. "Just like that little round of posting there. It was acceptable because after a few back and forths Kuro placed in a pause to make sure no one felt left out." Star looked to Kuro then. "Even if she is teaching in a class that isn't hers." She teased and stuck her tongue out at the other teacher.
"Sometimes those pauses can end up hanging for a while however if the other players are offline for some reason. If you ever feel you are waiting too long then you can post an OOC note asking if it's been forgotten or if everyone is still waiting on a given person. Or if you know who is being waited on you could maybe send them a PM letting them know they are being waited on. And if they simply lost track, because a lot of our members are in a half dozen threads or more, then they'll surely get right to it as quick as they can." Star added to futher illuminate the whole issue. "And if ever one of us uses a word or phrase that you don't know, please let us know and we'll be glad to explain it." She added.

Kuro stood up and dusted her clothing off. "Well then, Master Star, I see how it is," she said in an equally teasing tone. "I have a class now, so I could easily leave if you wanted me to." Casually she strolled to the doorway and leaned against it slightly. With a grin, she added: "Of course, if you want me to continue teaching your class, you need only ask."
