Vincent just looked at the player with an unchanging expression. He could understand that a mage and whatever else that guy mentioned would probably find that program ability useful, but since he said he was none of those. He would assume that the player was a coward that avoided battles or just a player that didn’t want more offensive program ability. He would lean to the former. “Uh-Huh. Well since you say that program isn’t useless. Why don’t we test it out in battle?”
The rain would begin to stop as the dark clouds parted in the sky.

Gatlin's eyes widened slightly, but he thought it over none-the-less. "Hmm.... Okay," he agreed, changing into something a bit more aggressive. A long, tail swept from behind him as he crouched down to avoid falling as he changed. "Before you say it.. I'm not a coward." That's what everybody had said. Even if he was a coward, they didn't have any right to say so unless he fled from them. He didn't flee from people. He avoided them before he had to. He simply had no people skills, and it was easier not to speak with them. Lithe, clawed paws formed from his hands as his teeth lengthened and began protruding from his lips. His blueish hair began to shorten and change into tan and blackish fur. His body's joints adjusted and extended, slowly covering itself with spots. His face became catlike as his legs finished changing. Long slim legs flowed into a smooth body built for speed. A cheetah sat before Vince after brief moments of the beginning of the transformation. Being unable to speak had never bothered him before, but now it irritated him. He nodded with a graceful bow of his slender neck, signifying that he was prepared.

Witnessing Gatlin’s transformation into another animal and then seeing him nod. Vincent took a step back and held up his right hand slightly, about face level. He then snapped his fingers as a bright light flashed in front of him and Gatlin. The light would fade revealing a metal skeletal body. Wire’s and circuitry began to shoot out of the skeleton, along with micro chips and processors. Then metal armor began to materialize and cover the skeleton frame. Basically, the player would be able to see a mecha be built right in front of him. In reality this only took about a few seconds. When it was over his mecha summon could be seen fully formed and standing in front of Gatlin. It was 6 feet tall and it looked pretty fearsome since it was a war machine.
“Meet the Ashsaber M and he will be your opponent for this battle.” Vincent said with a smirk on his face. Ashsaber M’s yellow eye visor would flash as it pointed the machine gun held in it’s right hand at Gatlin.

Green eyes widened as Gatlin eyed the mecha. Oh shit.....oh shit oh crap oh crap oh crap.. A long, wiry tail twitched frantically. How the HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO BITE METAL?! He had assumed he'd be fighting a human, thus bitable, opponent. Calm down... It's okay Gatlin... I don't know what you said to make him want to fight you, but here you are. If you don't want to die, stop panicking. Mechas are big, so they're slower than you... But they hurt alot. Dodge, find a weak spot.... Aim for any wires..... After calming himself, the tail slowed down a great degree. Remember. Dying is dangerous here. It can get you killed in Reality.

Alright let’s see what this guy can do. I’ll go a little easy on him since that program ability doesn’t look all that strong.
Vincent thought as he retreated backwards a few steps. He would stay on the sidelines and control his summon for this battle. With arms folded against his chest, he looked at Gatlin and the smirk on his face grew in size a little. In usual anime fashion his glasses then flashed as he said. “Begin.”
Ashsaber M, hearing his master’s command, squeezed on the trigger of his hand held machine gun. In that moment, a 5 bullet burst traveled at an extremely high velocity toward Gatlin. The mecha's aim was random and the bullets could hit anywhere on the players body.

Sharp hearing heard the whistle of a flying bullet and by instinct, Gatlin's feet shot themselves into a dead run. Unfortunately, machines were a bit faster than animals, and the bullet dug into the base of his tail. He yowled pathetically as a stream of blood began to flow from his backside. DAMN, speed wasn't even on his side anymore! He swept around in a circle around the bot, looking for showing wires. He glanced at Vincent. What would happen if I attack him?

Vincent watched Gatlin run around his mecha and just showed an amused looking expression. He saw the blood from when the player got shot drip down the base of his tail. “That had to hurt,” he said in a fake sympathetic tone of voice.
Ashsaber M watched his opponent run around him in a circle pattern. Torso twisting, the mech would try and get a lock on Gatlin but would find a little trouble doing so since he was circling around him. He also had to avoid shooting his master accidentally. When Gatlin would reach a spot that Vincent wasn't in Ashsaber M’s line of fight. He would release another burst of 5 bullets. He had aimed for Gatlin’s side.

A lithe body twisted strangely as a bullet or two skimmed the top of his back, slashing at the skin and spurting blood slightly. Noting the Mecha's pause before the shot was taken, Gatlin realized how close he was to the other Player. He won't attack when I'm near his master. Realisation scuttled through him, so he inched closer to Vincent for protection. He knew that bullet wouldn't hit in a very nice place the next time it shot. He watched the other with anticipation, not sure what to do. Big robot to one side, scary guy not so far off on the other side... It was slightly uncomfortable.. Muscles throughout his body trembled with nervousness. WHY? Why had he approached this guy? Now he was going to DIE and it could KILL him in the Reality Realm.

Vincent cocked his brow upwards as he noticed Gatlin get closer to him. Heh, seems he noticed already… he thought with a little irritation. His right index finger would begin drum his left upper arm as his arms were still folded against his chest. Ashsaber M lowered his weapon as he noticed Gatlin approach his master. The machine couldn’t risk shooting his master accidentally and had to disengage from ranged combat. Vincent would remain calm though and try to think of something. His composure was radically different from the panicked Gatlin at the moment.

Gatlin's heartbeat slowed down to a normal 'I've just been running like crazy' pace as he watched Ashsaber M lower his weapon. Ah, I thought I'd be holier than swiss cheese for a minute there. He eyed Vincent warily, not sure what to do. Can I attack him? Or is this one of those abilitly program battles? Will that be cheating? What do I do? He paced before the other Player, not straying very far from his targeting range. If he got too far away, the Mecha would shoot him, and he would die. His tail moved with each step he took, swaying movement of his body. Think think think... Don't freak out. ..... I'm freaking out. This is not good. He stepped toward Vincent, then hesitated and continued his pacing.

I think I’ll try this, but my opponent seems to be really uneasy. I think I should stop after this….. I don’t want to accidentally.… His thoughts trailed off at that point. Looking at his Mecha and nodding as if they both agreed to something. In that moment, Ashsaber M’s backpack thrusters ignited causing a cloud of smoke hover around the machines legs. The thrusters propelled the machine into the air as it pointed its gun down towards Gatlin. Now that it was in the air it didn’t have to risk shooting his master to hurt Gatlin. Pressing down on the trigger, it released another 5 bullet burst. The bullets which traveled at an extremely high velocity all whizzed down towards Gatlin’s back, the machines yellow eye visor flashed as it descended toward the ground after releasing that attack.

Gatlin yowled as a sharp pain shot through his back, disabling all his movement. His legs gave out underneath him as his spine went on the fritz. AH! What am I gunna do now?! I can't move! It seemed the bullets had hit one of the nerves in his spine, forcing his movements to a halt. He attempted to push himself up, telling his legs to straighten as loudly as he could within the depths of his mind. A pathetic sounding noise escaped his throat. It sounded something akin to a sqeak, or possibly a meow. He could feel blood sliding down his sides from the open wounds. Wincing as the nerves along his spine revealed that no, they had not died, he attempted to rise again. I can't die. I won't let it happen. This is a VIRTUAL WORLD! His legs wobbled as he rose shakily. With a strange sigh, he collapsed once again in the mud. So ... much blood... Woozy. With that, Gatlin fell into unconciousness. His form began to stretch and meld into it's usual state, long blue hair drenched with rain and mud. His arms lay on either side of his head, one nearly brushing his nose, and his tail vanished into nothingness. It was as if a cat had never prowled Salem. If it hadn't been for the footprints all around his sleeping form, anyone would believe there hadn't been.

With his Mecha’s work done, Vincent unfolded his arms and brought his left arm to his side, while he held up his right hand, near his face, and snapped his finger. The finger snap caused the Ashsaber M to be enveloped in a flash of light. The light would then fade, taking the mecha with it as it vanished into nothing. He would look up into the sky as the dark clouds had completely parted and the gloomy rain ceased. Breathing out a sigh, he looked at his defeated foe and shook his head. This battle was not enjoyable because his opponent was an utter newb with a crappy ability program. He would begin to walk over to the unconscious Gatlin. He wasn’t going to leave him there in the mud with bullet holes in his back.

Gatlin lay motionless, lost in a cloud of darkness. He felt nothing; he heard nothing. The side of his cheek was most likely covered in mud, but he didn't know. He had lost this round, for sure. All because of a big robot with guns. He'd feel pathetic when he woke up.

I’m glad the creators designed the Virtual World to be like a RPG as well. All I need to do is take this guy to the Inn and he will be as good as new. Vincent thought as he bent down and slid his arms under Gatlins body. With a bit of struggle, he managed to lift up the unconscious player. “Now where is that inn….?” he muttered. 1’s and 0’s begin to flash across the lens of his sunglasses. He seemed to have activated something. His field of vision wasn’t the streets of Salem anymore. It was now a holographic plain that showed the map of the entire area. Eyes shifting around as he looked for the inn. He felt a huge sweat drop roll down the back of his head as he noticed something.
The inn was right down the street. HOW did I not notice that…
The holographic plain dissipating and now returning his field of vision to the streets of Salem, he began to walk down the street until he reached the inn. Walking inside, he noticed it was a run down place. A dirty old man, which was a NPC, stood behind the counter. He didn’t even bother talk to the old man since it wasn’t required. He simply walked over to where the beds were and laid Gatlin down on one.
