Tyro's ears perked and flashed backward as Krishka made her way out of the forest and to the river. He knew that she was somewhere behind him, and wasn't sure if he was in her sight, or vise versa. He glanced up at Mathicia, wondering if she had noticed as well.

The hair on Mathicia's back stood on end. "Yes," she hissed, answering Tyro as she leapt to one of the stones making a small path across the river. "I live here," she tried again, no shred in existance that she had been startled. What is that? It smells funny. Her gaze flicked over through the trees as if trying to catch the smallest of actions. Sitting on the first stone step in the river, she let her tail dip into the refreshingly cool water. Something's making alarm bells go off.

After her drink, Krishka settled on the ground, sitting in the almost erect way that raptors had no choice but to do, given their body structures. She gave a series of low snorts as she took in her surroundings.
Nothing around her seemed threatening, but then again, nothing seemed like food either.
"Tough luck again..." she muttered. It had been some days since she'd found enough prey to sustain herself. She was tired, and she was hungry. And she sure as hell didn't feel too well, either.
Of course, she tried not to let that show. It would lead to the hunter becoming the hunted.

Tyro made a short leap to one of the stones nearby, landing on it easily and ending up in the same sitting position as he had started. His nose twitched, "Do you smell something?" He asked.

((By a show of hands, whose characters would know Tobias?))
((*Is wondering whether she should bring him in soon.*))

((If Tobias is from around here, then Tyro wouldn't. At the moment I was basing us in the middle of the forest, verses on one side or the other.))

((Well, Tobias pretty much knows the entire forest, and a good amount about the mountains to the north, but very little about the southern desert.))

((Alright. He can know Tyro then, since he's from the North. *Shrugs*))

((*Shrugs* He wouldn't have to, I was just giving an estimate. Maybe Tobais could have seen him before. ))

((Mathicia would definately know him. She knows everyone in her particular area by scent, due to her self-preservative nature as an ocelot.))
Mathicia cast blue-green eyes on Tyro, nodding slightly at his question. "Smells like a fish or a reptile or something," she said, growing curious but cautious at the new scent. I'm not sure I like this. Not at all. This creature isn't from my area.

Tyro nodded, "Yeah." He glanced over his shoulder, seeing if the animal was in sight, but couldn't see it. His nose twitched again, "I've never smelt this kind of reptile though."

(Well, even considering that I wanted Kriskha to be a rare animal, I think it'd be better if she knew Tobias, even if not so well.)
The youthful raptor could easily smell the others. The scent was distinctly feline, and she wasn't planning on messing with any cats today.
She debated whether she should show herself or not as she curled her tail over and began to groom the pebbled skin, removing any lingering traces of her last meal and dirt that might have clung to it.
Krishka had been disappointed that coming to the river had been fruitless. She'd hope that some backwash from the rainy weather had carried some carrion to the banks. It sometimes happened.
Maybe I should just go up and approach the others. It couldn't hurt, could it? Just to ask how the hunting is around here.
Krishka was very well-traveled, and she'd been to many places. She had to follow the abundance of prey, and when she had lived in a pack, that's how it had been as well. But now that she was alone, it was a bit harder to be self sufficient.
At any rate, she knew this area well although she had just come into it again. But as for the prey, she would ask.
Rising slowly, she made her way slowly to the direction of the cats, hoping her appearance as one giant weapon wouldn't cause alarm.

((Nah, it's good to have long posts.... I think SD has you beat on longest post though. XD))
Mathicia hunched slightly, taking in the scent for good measure. "It's definately a wierd reptile, but I think I've smelled their kind before. Nomads, probably," she said platonically. There should be more, shouldn't there? Nomadic creatures normally trave in packs, don't they? Sighing as much as an ocelot could, she briefly gazed at her reflection in the water. Most cats aren't on the diet of most creatures, so there shouldn't be a need to worry. So why am I worried?
