"Welcome." She smiled, "We're almost there, just so you know." And she closed the door.

"Already? Thank you." Silvain closed the compartment door and put down the shades, surprised by how fast this train ride seemed to have gone.
He quickly changed into his school robes, and stuffed his Muggle clothes in the bottom of his trunk, casting a levitation charm on it. He guided it back out and onto the floor, and ushered NightWing back into his cage, tearing a piece of the licorice wand off and giving it to him for appeasement. He himself cast a full-body-bind charm on one of his Chocolate Frog packages, then opened it, and bit the leg off the frozen creature, pulling out the card inside before stuffing all the sweets in his trunk.
He rolled his eyes.
Remus Lupin, he read. The man in the picture was gone, but not for long. As though he sensed it was finally being opened a mangy-looking but somewhat handsome man poked his face in from the corner of the little square, then walked into his rightful place with an apologetic smile up at Silvain.
He ignored it and read on.
Remus Lupin was a member of perhaps one of the most misunderstood and feared species of 'human intelligence' classification. The Werewolf. Remus was a member of the second Order of the Phoenix, an organization that helped to bring about the downfall of the dreaded Lord Voldemort. He gave his life in the legendary battle at Hogwarts. His life was the inspiration for the new department of Werewolf Studies in the Ministry of Magic, devoted to helping these unfortunate souls manage their illness and assimilate into normal society.
By the time Sylvain had finished, Lupin had gotten bored, and his picture was empty again. He flipped the card over to the back, then summoned his album from his trunk, and slipped it inside a special Chocolate Frog Card sleeve according to number.

Valiente had vacated his compartment for a moment to place Cara's cage in the General Storage, but had kept the owl with him. He now sat in the compartment once more, the black and white bird sitting beside him.
He hadn't opened any of his Chocolate Frogs, but he had eaten the Pumpkin Paistries.

Silvain stuffed the pentagonal binder back in his trunk and headed out of the compartment to put everything in general storage so it would be brought up to the castle for him.

Valiente left the door open, only so he would know, when they stopped, how crowded the hall was. He wanted to get out before all of the younger and inexperianced kids started trying to bump their way through with all of their lugage and friends. It was quite dangerous.

Silvain, also aware of the dangers of little kids and big trunks, stayed near the front of the train after he had safely stowed bird and belongings away, to await the arrival of the train at Hogwarts. He gazed out the window, watching the castle draw closer as they sped toward it.

Valiente leaned over Cara to peer out the window, and noticed they would soon arrive. He held out his arm for her, and she climbed up onto his shoulder, mindful of her talons. Slipping out the compartment door, he made his way up to the front of the train.

Silvain glanced to his right as he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, and saw Valiente.
"...Any particular reason you send some random kid to me asking to share a compartment?" he asked softly.

Cara balanced on Valiente's shoulder as he walked, preening under one wing. The boy raised an eyebrow as Silvain spoke, "I sent him down, but not to you in particular." He replied.

"Really now. That's not the story the kid told me. I thought Gryffindors were supposed to be the noble good guys, not liars..." Silvain folded his arms as he leaned against the wall of the train segment.

"I'm not lying." Valiente replied, tucking his hands in his pockets, "What'd the boy say?"

"He said some guy told him to come down here and ask me if he could share his compartment with me. I clarified it was you," Silvain replied.

"I told him that he should try a few doors down because there was probably an empty compartment, or some with less people." Valiente replied, his expression unwavering. Honestly, that's what he said. It was jsut luck that the boy had picked Silvain's, as he'd intended.

"Why didn't you just...No. Whatever." It wasn't worth arguing semantics if he couldn't prove that what Valiente had even said was right.
He rolled his eyes and watched as they pulled into the station at Hogsmeade and the train slowed to a halt.

Valiente smiled.
Cara finsihed her preening, and turned her crystal blue eyes on Silvain. She tilted her head to the side slightly, as if questioning him on a topic no one had been discussing.
