Silvain nodded. "Why aren't you with your other Gryffindor friends?" he asked, heading up to the castle.

Valiente shrugged, "Felt like being alone for a bit." He replied, smiling slightly, "They're usually a little loud."

Silvain nodded in understanding. Excessive volume was indeed something Gryffindors were noted for, at least, in Slytherin eyes.
"I see." He headed up the stairs, managing to stay away from the main bulk of students, and towards the Great Hall.

Valiente followed, "What about you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, "Why are you with your's?"

Silvain glanced back, raising his eyebrow in a "Did you really have to ask that question?" look.
"Don't have any," he said tonelessly. "Most Slytherins don't generally like me because I'm not hard-core evil like they are, and I don't fit in with the semi-evil ones, either."

"Oh..." Valiente couldn't help but smile slightly, "Hard core evil?" He asked, amused.

Silvain glanced back and smirked at Valiente. "Oh yes. Plotting Muggle downfall from the comfort of a black leather couch in the dungeon," he said. "Hard-core. You should see some of the stuff they get the first-years to do..."

Valiente raised an eyebrow, still obviously amused, "I'm not sure I want to." He replied, chuckling quietly.

Silvain snorted. "No, you don't. Let's just say I feel bad for them."
He made his way into the great hall. "Well...I'll see you around," he said, waving. He started for the Slytherin table.

Valiente gave him a kind of salute-wave, and turned for the opposite side of the hall.

Silvain made his way to his table, and found a couple seats at the end that were vacant. Sitting right in the middle of them, he turned to the front, and awaited the commencement of the festivities.

When Valiente took a seat between to of his friends, they turned their gaze upon him, and he was surprised to see they were glaring at him, "What?"
"Who was that?" One asked, nodding his head in the direction of the Slyterin table.
"No one."

Likewise, a couple of fifth-year Slytherins saw Silvain's approach, and stood, making their way over to him. They sat on either side of him.
"Hey. Was that a Gryffindor you were just talking to?" one of them asked.
Silvain looked him right in the eye. "No." he said simply. "I don't know what you saw."

"No one? That was a Slytherin, unless I'm going blind." Said one of the boy's, leaning around Valiente as he turned his face away.
"You must be at least color blind. That boy's robes were blue, not green." He said.
"A Ravenclaw?" The second of the two asked.
"Yes, do you have something against their house as well?" Valiente raised an eyebrow, but neither boy replied.

"Really now...looked kinda like a Gryffindor to me," the Slytherin said.
Silvain rolled his eyes. "I wasn't talking to anyone. I was talking to myself. He might have overheard, or something...I don't know."
The Slytherin made a "Hmph" noise. Unfortunately, Silvain talking to himself was a very plausible excuse.
"I was thinking out loud about the courses I'm taking, and what I want to focus on for an OWL," Silvain explained.
The Slytherins narrowed their cold blue eyes at him, then looked at each other. He looked each of them in the eye coolly, daring them to contradict him.
Unnerved by his dray-eyed stare, and disgusted at him for what they still believed was a punishable offense in their minds, both of them stood, and made their way back to their friends.
Silvain returned his gaze to the front table, not daring to look over the Great Hall at the Gryffindor table to see if Valiente was being subjected to a 20 Questions of his own.
