Once away from the inn, Reikas set off at a run and spread his wings, leaping into the air and gliding up to and over the rooftops with ease, landing at the base of the spire of a nearby cathedral and surveying the land.

Walking over to one of the beds in the inn, Vincent sat down and closed his eyes as his body became transparent and then after a few seconds he’d completely disappear from the virtual world. He originally was going to another zone but this whole encounter with the Pathetic Gatlin and that other player completely ruined his mood and so he returns to the real world.

Sulkily, Gatlin walked down the cold streets of Salem, the weather matching his mood perfectly. Slowly, even as he walked, his legs extended and his face elongated. His hair shortened in some areas and lengthened in others as his arms turned knobby and became the size of his legs, forcing him to walk on four legs instead of two. A whispy tail flared out from behind him as his clothes melded into black, course fur. Hooves formed on his limbs and became coated with their own mud, his mane laying softly against his long, muscular neck.
---- With a sigh, Iggy Noname logged into the Area he noted Reikas in. He could sense the kid he gave the Shapeshifter Program to nearby, and assumed Reikas had seen him. Seeing the man nearby, he called him over. "Yo. Zone Specialist. Have you seen it?" He still didn't know if the other man liked him or hated him... Quiet frankly, Iggy didn't even think it was a man behind his computer, based on some of the conversations they'd had. He looked over to the inn, studying the boy turned horse. "It's sad, isn't it?"

Reikas raised an eyebrow, then leapt from the spire and glided to the ground near Iggy.
"Which is?" he asked, looking at the horse. "The kid, or the ability program?"

Iggy narrowed his eyes slightly as Reikas landed. "My work is perfection. The kid is sad. It's not helping him at all." In fact, he was doing a bit of research on the kid. "How'd he react to you?" he asked, pulling a program data field up. His cargos were hanging a little low at his hip, so he tugged it them up with his free hand.

"Oh, I scared the hell out of him. But, then again, I tend to unnerve most people I'm around. I guess even in games, people just aren't used to seeing a tall, intimidating Vampire-player and not just a bunch of weak NPC Vamps. I think you made a good program, and just picked the wrong kid," Reikas replied. "Or maybe you should have given him a couple of lessons or pointers. Why'd you pick him, anyway?"

Iggy tossed his head to the side, effectively moving the hair from his face. "He's got reflexes. Look how well he blends as an animal. He could make a very useful... Well anything. He could be a spy or a thief... If he just got the balls for it. He's not to quick when it comes to using that thing in a fight, though. I just monitored a battle between him and that other Player Character in the inn. He got his ass kicked. Instead of going straight for the mech-controller, he hesitated and freaked out. Then he got shot using a cheetah form. That type of animal isn't built to sustain damage. In the end, he chose the wrong animal, and couldn't keep his head on straight. Here's hoping the kid's learned his lesson." For once, in a very long time, Iggy was speaking English. Pure and 100% English. A mischevious grin spread across his face. "W007. Ah, speaking of programs: I made a new one that you might enjoy. It's a power restrictor. It looks like a ring, but when you put it on, it makes you look like a lowbie. You could blend in better to attend to places without being so bothered." He pulled out a ring that would cover nearly half the finger. "Just slip it on your middle finger. I have a couple different styles, too. I'm working on an enhancer program, too. One that will temporarily give you stat boosts.... but the endurance is having problems with it... So it has a few kinks. How's Salem holding up? I hear that some kid did some pretty big damage on it the other day." He held out the glinting silver ring in the midst of his sentences, offering it to Reikas. "Now.. I'm only going to ask this once. You a chick, or a dude?" he asked, an amused smile spread on his face.

Reikas held up a pale finger.
"First thing. You need to stop talking so much. You just skipped through about five different subjects without letting me get a word in edgewise. Second thing, because of that, I'm choosing to respond to each subject in order. The kid--I still think you should have given him lessons, or pointers." He paused, his eyes losing focus slightly as he manually pulled up a text version of Iggy's monologue to consult for the next topic, then he blinked, and refocused, continuing. "The ring--Does it have any side-effects? And are you planning to sell them in certain Zones, or keep them exclusively for us?" Another loss of focus as he consulted the text.
"Salem: I heard of that too, which is why I'm here. I only just logged in, and was looking for the damage to repair it a bit." -pause- "Back to the ring." He took it, and inspected it. "It's a little gaudy. Do you think you can make it a bit less...noticeable?" he asked. He measured it against his finger. It would have covered at least one joint, making a fist impossible.
Another paused, then he looked up.
He raised a thin eyebrow. "As for my gender...It wouldn't be very much fun if you knew, now, would it? I like to keep people guessing about me..."
He exposed a long fang as he flashed a smirk.

Iggy smirked in response and messed with a series on his data screen, effectively making the ring shrink in size and shape. What was left was a silver ring with a lion head carved into it. "How's that? And I was thinking about just keeping it low for the Creators until we get some major league players. Right now, only a few have actually made it to level 9 stats. And so far, no side-effects." he muttered, still shifting data through his field. "I skimmed the area earlier, and didn't really see anything except a few overly decayed buildings." He held out a small data survey of the area from his previous visit.
Frowning at his screen, he pulled up a small bit of information in the lower left-hand corner. "Was that the Monitor's brother that logged out just then?"

Reikas shrugged. "Was it? I don't know him, I don't think," he replied, slipping the ring into a pocket to check out later as he took the data survey and scanned it visually, and smirked.
"Hmmm...Always mixed feelings of annoyance and amusement," he mused to himself. He looked up. "I wanna get to meet some of the kids that have taken out some of these buildings...Or at least watch them do it. It would be nice to design buildings to take the sort of damage that are breaking these..."

"I have the profiles on one of them," the Programmer replied, handing over one last data sheet. "His name is Onyx Serrigotti, a Mid-High level Player Character. It says here he's in the Hackers group. I have reason to believe he was PvPing against an Anti-Hacker member here in Salem." Iggy skimmed a few more field documents before completely closing his screen off. "Okay, Chickie, I've got some programs to work on, so I'll leave you to your work. If you see the Monitor around, tell her to check up on the Hacker HQ, I've heard a few rumors about plans to start trouble in the cities." With a swoosh of his cargos and the clank of his gun against his belt, Iggy transported back to his 'lab.'

The player character looked up, his expression showed absolute fear, his eyes were widened, and sweat ran down the sides of his face. Standing within a small alleyway, he saw it. A beam of golden light descended down upon him with unholy like speed. It would immediately enveloped him and tear through his entire being. A terrifying scream was heard followed by a large explosion that sent shockwaves throughout the entire area.
They never learn….
Everyone in Zone 4, area 3, felt the shockwave from the explosion. They never saw the beam due to its speed but they felt the aftereffects. Looking around aimlessly, they wondered what had happened.
“Was it another Anti-Hacker attack?” One would ask “I don’t know…” Another would reply
“Wait! Look up there!” A low level player character pointed her finger to the sky. In the direction of her finger was a shining yellow orb. The orb was miles high into the sky making it look like a small sun. However, once everyone managed to see what this girl was taking about. The orb vanished into thin air, thus only giving everyone a small glimpse of it.
I clearly remember telling the Hackers and Anti-Hackers to not battle in the areas I’m in. Heh, even though I can crush them like roaches, they always come back like roaches. Oh well. At least thanks to them my job isn’t so dull.

Reikas scowled after Iggy, annoyed at the man's apparent lack of people skills.
And there, he goes, disappearing before I could even get a word in edgewise... That guy really annoyed him. He was tempted to just casually leave the ring somewhere where someone else could have it. Not that it mattered...It wasn't like it was powerful or anything.
Why does he think I would want it, anyway? People would know something was weird if a low-level character had a Vampire ability program...The Vampire AP wasn't exactly a beginner sort of thing. You had to be pretty well-skilled in the game to be able to survive and deal with all the downs of it, like the blood hunger he was just starting to feel.
Speaking of which, I'd better get on that. He sighed, and saved the data on the character Iggy had given him for future reference, quickly scanning the entire Zone to see if he was still here. It would do to piss off some guy who had been destroying his carefully constructed scenery.

Ah, Tokyo, the old gaming capital of the world. Onyx sat atop of some gaming company's skyscraper, skimming the scenery. The lights glittered around him in an enchanting fashion. He wasn't usually one to sit around and admire beauty, but he could appreciate arts as well as an artist in rarer occasions. After a good day of training, the dark-haired man was definately in the mood to chill out and relax. He had thought about logging out and settling down in the Reality Realm, taking an early nap and possibly doing some training in the center just outside his city's limits. Stretching his arms out and arching his back, he stretched and stood. He was surprised either the Monitor or the Zone Specialist hadn't confronted him about the accident he caused in Salem. Sometimes his Ability Program got a little too strong. The Player he'd been fighting hadn't even been much of a challenge. Nothing seemed to be, anymore. With a frustrated sigh, he leapt off the building to go enjoy himself.

Reikas sighed. Zone 7, Area 1. Figures the guy would run. He spread his wings, and took to the air, gliding toward the damaged sectors of Salem. Hopefully, he'll stay put long enough for me to find him...
"Oh,come on!" Reikas growled angrily as he got a visual on the extent of the damage. This would seriously take some time to repair everything...
Y'know, I think I'm gonna go and save a backup file of every zone's coding, just so I can copy/paste it...People won't notice a nanosecond flash as everything is repaired, and it beats, repairing it before their eyes...
That sounded like a plan. Just flash a warning this time before everything was spontaneously repaired telling people to get into an inn for a couple seconds...
That could work. And it would make my job a helluvalot easier...
He slipped into an alley, sat down, and began to manually repair the buildings, one by one.
